THE MARVIC TAVERN HISTORY

THE MARVIC TAVERN IS AN OIL CITY TRADITION SINCE 1937.

Prior to 1937 the building was Noxom’s Meat Market

1937 –   Marguerite & Victor Winger open The Marvic Tavern

1941 – The tavern was sold to Howard & Helen Kaster

1975 –  The tavern was sold to Bill Waggett, Sr.

1980 –  Bill Waggett Jr. became a partner.

1984 –Bill Waggett Jr. took over the tavern.

2018 – David Krug purchased The Marvic Tavern.

RENOVATIONS THRU THE YEARS

1. Major renovation and reconfiguration of the bar and kitchen area July 2019.

2. Purchase of vacant lot 107 Walnut Street behind the bar from Oil City Redevelopment Authority 2019.

3. Purchased Home at 105 Walnut Street and torn down for additional parking.

4. Deck area added in 2020.
